PowToon: Animated Presentations & Cartoon Style Videos
PowToon is a brand new DIY Video creation platform that allows your creative side to shine regardless of your technology skills. You can select a pre-designed template and simply drag in the graphics you would like to add or backspace the existing text to add your own flare.
It's easy to use and free! I really love Animoto, and now I can add PowToon to my favorite video creation tools. There are so many uses that PowToon offers for teachers, bloggers, and students.
I'm excited to attend ScreencastCamp today on the TechSmith campus in Okemos, MI. So, I put together a brief video to test out the functionality of PowToon... it really was simple - what a great tool!

I started using PowToon for my "Quiet Start" directions. I can create a presentoon, upload it to YouTube, then use Listen on Repeat (http://www.listenonrepeat.com/)to have the directions repeat until I need them to stop. Since I have students who come into the classroom at different times (carpool vs buses), being able to have engaging slides repeat is essential.
