Make a Digital Timeline

Capzles displays your photographs in a unique way that tells your story. You can even upload PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, mp3 files to include music, or other files. Check out my personal Capzles project and a student project on The Titanic.

Celebrities Read Stories

Storyline Online (sponsored by The Screen Actors Guild Foundation) is great for children, parents, and teachers. This free site allows one to select a picture book and have it read aloud by a featured celebrity. Read popular stories, see the illustrations come alive, and read along with the words as their highlighted at the bottom of each page - sure to be a family and classroom favorite!

Create a Free Website or Blog

I often get asked what is the best way to get started with a website or a blog.

There are many options; however, I've found the most user-friendly platform to work with is Weebly. With Weebly, you can create a free website and include a blog within your site! The site is free and simple to use.

Reasons for this Blog...

Last year, I started a classroom website to use for instructional purposes and to display student work.  This year, I've found many interesting sites and I've started saving my favorites to my personal class website.  Teachers have started to ask for additional resources they could use at their grade level or within their area of content.  Therefore, as I'm home with my son, Jacob, helping him to recover from his tonsil surgery, I decided to start a blog to share some of those resources and ideas.
