2nd Grade - Everyday Math: Teaching Money

I ran across this great math site, Cash Out, to help students work with counting coins and knowing how to subtract, or count up to return change.

I've included the link on my class website so that parents can support their children at home in a fun manner.  I really like this site because the coins look absolutly real... and who has coins at home these days?  My poor house is all plastic or PayPal.

My students loved when we practiced this in class, too.  Have fun shopping and playing!

Kleinspiration has been selected as a nominee for Circle of Moms Top 25 Teacher Blogs.  The contest takes 2 clicks and about four seconds.  First, click here to connect to the voting site.  Second, scroll down to find Kleinspiration and click 'vote.'  That's it.  We appreciate your support!  Thanks!!
